We have all struggled putting something liquid into a baggie. They collapse before filling and the zipper part always gets gummed up. So, how do you fix the problem?
Put an old #10 can to good use. Simply open the baggie and insert it into the empty can. Fold the top over the can and fill without fear of spilling or messing up the zipper.
This is a simple solution. Here’s how to make it work:
That’s all there is to it. Once frozen, the baggies will lay flat in your freezer and can be stacked.
The can can be used for years (notice the lovely patina on this one?)
If you can’t find the big #10 cans or don’t want to buy that much at once, ask any restaurant — they throw them away every day. Be sure to flatten any sharp edges before use.
