One major problem with some restaurant pizza is the ingredients tend to slide off when the slices are picked up. That is because the sauce is too thin and it takes a lot of it to make a good pie.
This recipe calls for a thick sauce (Robusto Sauce) that is “painted on” not poured on. There is plenty of flavor packed in the small amount of sauce each pie requires, so not much is needed. There is enough sauce for eight 12″ pizzas using 1/4 cup measurements and storing in small ziploc mini bags.
