If you’re one of the skeptics that insist pancakes don’t make much of a breakfast, you are in for a surprise. A healthy dose of creamy peanut butter, mini chocolate morsels, a spoon full of instant cocoa powder and a bit of heavy cream turns this ordinary pancake mix into a mouthwatering masterpiece.
These pancakes are rich and filling, but more importantly, they begin with a packaged mix. Pour them between four and five inches in diameter to insure they are all identical.
The mini chocolate morsels begin to melt, creating a unique pattern on each cake. Serve them with sweet creamery butter and warm maple syrup. If you really want to impress your guests, top each serving with a dab of sweetened whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
